Welcome to the Pan American Health Care Exchanges Conference, PAHCE 2012, a
meeting designed to create opportunities for cooperation, linkages and mutual
enrichment especially among researchers and professionals of health care
delivery and related technologies.
The PAHCE 2012 meeting takes place in Miami, Florida, Gateway to the Americas.
Miami is a large cosmopolitan city offering year-round warmth and sunshine
attracting visitors hoping to capture a little sun and relaxation. World-famous
South Beach, located on the southernmost part of Miami Beach, attracts a
colorful mix of visitors to its Art Deco Historic District. Celebrities,
artists, and International supermodels frequent the trendy boutiques,
restaurants, bars, and art galleries that make up South Beach. For the nature
lovers, enjoy a board-walk or airboat ride view of alligators and other exotic
wildlife in the one-of-a-kind on earth Everglades National Park. Try snorkeling
in the Biscayne National Park, or hike in Big Cypress National Preserve, each
less than one hour drive from Miami.
The program will include activities in three official languages (English,
Spanish, and Portuguese) and the presenters will continue to share their work in
the mode and format so everybody will become aware of the latest research and
developments independently where it took place. We hope you all will enjoy PAHCE
2012 activities, spend some time in getting to know each other and that it will
open the doors to professional collaborations and linkages.
